Eight teams in each tournament will take part in the Youth Olympic futsal programme in Senegal.
Two tournaments, one Olympic programme
FIFA’s Dakar 2026 futsal announcement identifies eight national teams in the men’s tournament and eight in the women’s tournament. The events bring youth futsal into the programme of the Youth Olympic Games in Senegal. Their age category and qualification structure distinguish them from the senior Futsal World Cups.
The participating nations
The men’s field named by FIFA includes Afghanistan, Morocco, Panama, Argentina, Paraguay, Solomon Islands, Portugal and host Senegal. The women’s field includes IR Iran, Cameroon, Costa Rica, Colombia, Fiji, Italy, Ukraine and Senegal. The official draw information provides the starting point for following both competitions.
Keeping the calendars separate
FIFA confirms a futsal window of 1–12 November 2026. The women’s competition opens on 1 November and the men’s final closes the programme on 12 November. These are the futsal dates, rather than dates inferred from the wider Youth Olympic Games. Consult the organiser for individual fixtures.
